on Board: Fashion from Titanic the Movie – 45
award-winning “Titanic” movie costumes on exhibit at Biltmore* from Feb 9
to May 13, 2018; also featuring stories of Gilded Age transatlantic
travels of George & Edith Vanderbilt.

addition to the “Titanic” film costumes in Biltmore House, there are three
displayed in other parts of the Estate: one in the lobby of The Inn on Biltmore
Estate; one in the lounge area of The Village Hotel on Biltmore Estate; and one
at the Ticket Center near the Estate entrance.)
- Glamour
on Board Guided Tour - New this year with Biltmore tour guides!
Small group, 90-minute guided tours through the “Titanic” costume exhibit
in Biltmore House; limited number, advance reservation and separate ticket
required.

- The
Vanderbilts at Home and Abroad – This favorite exhibit
returns to the Biltmore Legacy Museum in Antler Hill Village on March 15.
(George and Edith were originally scheduled to be on the Titanic!)

MUSEUMS ~
- The
Amazing Women of 1912 on Titanic – New costume exhibitions at
the Titanic Museums in Pigeon Forge, TN and Branson, MO through November 2018. Costumes on display are original designer dresses and
lingerie of the era from celebrated British couturiere, Lucy,
Lady Duff Gordon, who survived the sinking Titanic! She had Lucile, Ltd. designer salons in London, Paris, New York and Chicago. (Most of the
garments in the exhibitions are from the extraordinary collection of my friend Randy Bryan
Bigham.) exhibits.)
