For
each costume display, Biltmore’s wonderful floral
design team has created elaborate arrangements complementing each film’s
era.
The
exhibition continues in Antler Hill
Village on the Estate with stories of Vanderbilt and Cecil Family weddings,
along with the first-ever display of the
wedding veil worn by Mary Lee Ryan Cecil (married to the grandson of George
Vanderbilt) and her cousin Jacqueline
Bouvier Kennedy.
Also
on display is the recreated wedding gown
and veil worn by Cornelia Vanderbilt in her marriage to John Cecil in 1924. The
gown was recreated by renowned London costumiers Cosprop, Ltd. of Downton
Abbey fame!
